The Museum of Natural History was established at Giardini Naxos in 2001.
It covers 340 sqm and houses finds from all over the world, collections of minerals, paleontology, malacology, beside a wonderful collection of amber and marine organisms from the seabed of the Strait of Messina.
A section is dedicated to the ecosystems of the Alcantara River, one of the island's most important parks.
