Survey of the Vertebrates

In this section you will find the species of Vertebrates whose presence in the Alcantara basin has been demonstrated by reliable bibliographic data or personal observations.
For each species, information regarding the Habitat, Biology, and eventual Predators will be provided. Particular interesting species for their endemic nature or limited range of distribution will be highlighted. You will also find the species included in the red list, whose number is reducing because of the human action or the transformation and/or reduction suffered by their Habitat: in these cases, a small paragraph analyzes the problems linked to the conservation of the species.
