The Monastery of Friars Minor Capuchin, founded in 1570, is in Francavilla di Sicilia.
Inside the Monastery it is possible to visit the Ruffo family chapel, the sacristies with monochrome and polichrome intarsia, the church and the works it houses, and the Franciscan Museum. A small ethnographic museum has been set up in the ancient refectory.
Local officinal plants grow in the herbarium in the courtyard, set up with the help of Alcantara River Park.
The monastery is open for non-scheduled visits from 11.00 to 13.00 and from 15.30 until sunset.
Scheduled visits take place from 8.30 to 13.30.
